SUPERPOWERED

Consider this: two kids, alike in many ways, face the same challenge. Maybe it’s a failing grade, or getting cut from the team, or a fight with a friend. Whatever the case, one child bounces back while the other falls into a sea of worry. This raises a fundamental question: What makes one human more resilient than another?

Is it childhood experiences?

Is it genetics?

Is it the environment?

Is it relationships?

Research shows while there are a lot of factors at play, one major influence on our ability to bounce back from challenge is the way we interpret that challenge--our mindset. Fortunately, mindsets are malleable and resilience is a skill. Just like you learn to play the piano with deliberate effort, so too can you practice how to navigate through worry, overwhelm, and the stress of uncertainty. How do we give our kids these vital skills to kids and teens?

Enter SUPERPOWERED, a new book written by my friend and founder of GoZen!, Renee Jain, as well as world-renowned clinical psychologist, Dr. Shefali Tsabary. These two friends and mental health experts take the science of resilience and creatively adapt in a self-development book for kids ages 8 and up. Every page is packed with practices, engaging art, the science that will help kids not just survive a challenge, but thrive beyond it.

Resilience is a skill. Let's teach kids how to practice--Order SUPERPOWERED today: https://getsuperpowered.com
