How to Love

How To Love isn’t a typical love story about a boy and girl. Instead it is a beautiful fictional story about two sisters, Jade Carter and Nicole Taylor who battle with self-image, self-esteem, social acceptance and colorism.

These biological sisters struggle with their idea of beauty and success. The discussion of “light skin vs dark skin” has been a prevalent part of their upbringing. This misstep in their foundational development has prevented them from recognizing genuine love.

All of these obstacles hinder them from having healthy relationships with anyone around them including each other. Neither sister realizes that they are winning within their own lanes because they are blinded by the jealousy they have for each other. They secretly want each other lives because they never learned how to love and they don’t realize a life better than their own doesn’t exist!

Power To Heal My Whole Self

Often, the emotions associated with the feeling of being powerless are as a result of one’s fundamental flaw as a human being. Individuals can have a staggering level of low self-esteem, causing thoughts and feelings of worthlessness and despair to rise to the surface. They endure and suffer so much. It is essential too for them to address these thoughts and feelings that they carry within, to acknowledge their existence, and work towards facing them head-on.

Healing is usually more challenging because it is mainly about the individual and having the courage to face their fears and not any of the specific actions involved in the healing process. Feeling powerless has many forms and manifests itself within individuals in various ways. It differs from human to human; however, there are a few standard features shared across each human that has ever felt it. Some of these features include strong physical responses, uncomfortable thoughts, and troublesome behavioral patterns.

This feeling of powerlessness has many components. It is achingly painful and echoes within. It can even affect an individual in ways that can paralyze attempts to curb it. Consequently, it can cause the individual to withdraw emotionally and physically disconnect themselves from others.

I chose to write this book, Power to Heal My Whole Self, to direct attention to this topic because many persons do not truly understand how being powerless feels. Those who do are too afraid to talk about it and confront it. I struggled through the majority of my life with these feelings of being unworthy or good enough to be loved. Despite the progress I have made in acknowledging these feelings, even I still, at times, being drawn back to the same sentiments time and time again. One thing I failed to understand during my discovery phase was the greater importance of other individuals suffering from the same feelings. Thankfully, working with my clients helped me to understand this. Similarly, through them, I began to question things:

Why hadn’t they ever addressed these feelings?

Why were they just comfortable with masking their feelings of not feeling good enough?

Once I began helping them accept themselves and that they were worthy, lovable, and that their existence was meaningful, it spurred me on to continue to help others as well. I wanted to be there with them on their journey of self-realization; to guide them towards realizing their dignity, pride, and self-worth.

Power to Heal My Whole Self explores why individuals trapped in suffering cannot improve their lives. It explains why they need to understand what being powerless is, where it comes from, and how to move towards the healing process.

KLEPTOMANIAC Who's Really Robbing God Anyway?

KLEPTOMANIAC, Who's Really Robbing God Anyway? is a trek through the pages of the Bible to find the untwisted truth about the centuries-old false teachings on tithes and offerings. Every page of this book has information that will make you become an analyst in discovering what tithing is in the Old and New Testament. It takes you on a epic theological quest to define the word tithe and then breaks down the differences between giving and tithing as the Bible instructs.

Monetary tithing has been taught as an undisputed fact in churches for centuries. Kleptomaniac: Who's Really Robbing God Anyway challenges that assumption and puts modern tithe teachings under the microscope of scripture. This book examines the word tithe from the original Hebrew language and presents the authentic meaning of the the orthodox term based on the land, language and literature of the Hebrew people.

For church-goers who are tired of being told they rob God of tithes and offerings every Saturday and Sunday, and that God requires a tenth of their income until death, this new book opens the biblical scroll and shines a light on the truth of scripture by debunking centuries-old tithe doctrines, which say a tithe is ten percent of a person's income. The author also explains why many church-goers are not the ones who really rob God. But exposes who the real God robbers are in this shocking tithe manifesto.

The message of the book is that ten percent of a person's income does not represent a biblical tithe. The biblical tithe has always been edible items. A monetary tithe of ten percent represents a tax for religious purposes. A true biblical tithe is narrowly limited to food and clean animals from inside the land of Israel. Also, true biblical tithing was never extended to crafts or trades, and since Jesus was never a farmer, nor headsman, he was not required to tithe.

Kleptomaniac: Who's Really Robbing God Anyway is an educational book that tackles the religious taboo subject such of monetary tithing and presents information about an under-saturated subject in the book world concerning tithing. The book is a scholastic, theological work and should be read by anyone who has skepticism about the truth and accuracy of the modern monetary tithe system that is not contained on the pages of the Bible.

Whisper In My Ear

It's the 1960s, and cultural and political unrest is sweeping across America. In the midst of this turmoil, three young Americans find themselves on a path that sends them to join the war effort in Vietnam;Dion Murphy, a handsome football player from Georgia; Cathy Addison, a pretty young nurse from Minnesota; and Norman Coddington, a young man from a wealthy but dysfunctional Boston family. While in Vietnam, all three, along with a beautiful young nurse from the Philippines, must confront enemies from their pasts while walking into an uncertain future.

Set against the backdrop of minor skirmishes and culminating in one of the Vietnam War's longest and bloodiest battles, Whisper in My Ear is a story of two loving couples--with ordinary desires and passions--who are called on to bear witness to an extraordinary time as they serve in the US Marine Corps and the US Navy, and strive to fulfill their duties and follow their orders, whether they agree with them or not, while a gruesome and bloody war rages all around them.

This novel also emphasizes the important role women play in all wars, whether they remain at home or serve abroad, and the debt of gratitude the wounded owe to the critical and angelic care of a combat nurse. The insane torture of captured and or wounded American Marines by the Apache woman is almost unbelievable but true, as are the facts about the Vietnamese culture and the war itself. The Vietcong women were also adept spies and snipers, and the male sniper characterized in the story is based on the life of a famous North Vietnamese mercenary. The story also depicts the exploits of the Vietnam War's most famous American sniper, Marine Sergeant Carlos Hathcock, and the torment suffered by Americans in the prison camp known as the Hanoi Hilton. You will also learn about the unsung heroics of the "Brown Water Navy" and the "Blue Water Navy", and the major impact they had on the war effort and in saving American and South Vietnamese lives. The contributions of our allies, particularly those of Australia, Canada, Sweden, the Philippines, and South Korea, is acknowledged in this story and gratefully appreciated!
