Eating The Forbidden Fruit

Eating the Forbidden Fruit

Eating the Forbidden Fruit / Walking Both Sides of the Law
Author Roland Sato Page is a freshmen writer from St. Louis Mo.. He selected writing as a treatment to his depression due to Lupus. A once popular tattoo artist of Black Pearl Gallery located in the downtown area. Lupus hindered his body art career therefore he transformed his visual talent to literary expression. The dilemma was determining what topic to write about. His family encouraged him to tell his life story. Roland was skeptical to write about his past because of embarrassment. However his son, Yung Ro, convinced the author to allow the world to hear his story.

After a few months Roland released his heart and soul onto paper. Finding a new passion at the same time battling his depression. The new ordained author was content. He agreed to the bio topic yet choose to do it in fiction form. Reason being to respect the identity and privacy of the characters in the story line.

Why was it important to give so much attention to his story? Well decades ago Roland was a St. Louis police officer convicted of federal crimes because of his family affiliation. Roland wanted to clear his reputation so no one would consider him a corrupted cop. He explains he never used his authority to commit any criminal activity. He does acknowledge his association to family members who were involved in unsavory activity. The book illustrates the inner battle between loyalty to the badge and family. It's a fusion of urban crime, humor, and romance. A tale of karma, confession, and redemption.

He's excited to see how the book fares in the literary world. Thus far the feedback has been amazing the anticipation is building. Roland contributes the buzz to the current state of community and police relationship. Law enforcement is such a controversial topic now.

The self published novel is dropping in March 2020. For more info and updates go to http://www.authorrolandpage.com or https://itsmyurls.com/authorrolandpage
